This is hope and her three daughters. I loved the blue of her skirt and it looked great with the belt. She was also wearing a fabulous pair of nude heels but I didn’t get a shot of them.

Hey everyone! Just got an email that all clearance items at Newport News are an additional 80% off until 12 noon tomorrow. This means $3.00 jeans, $1 belts and those awesome suede boots down there are only $30!
Bloomingdale’s is having a 12 hour special (you’ve only got 11 and a half left) on shoes, bags and accessories. It’s only a select few so click on the LINK to go see them!
Here’s a look at some of our faves!
Hey! Are you familiar with Karmaloop.com? I discovered them about 4 years ago when I wanted a TITS shirt (long before there was a TITS website)
Karmaloop carries really great things like Betsey Johnson, Jack Dakota, Crooks and Castle, Married to the Mob, they have a vintage section (I bought a great poncho there last winter).
We recently became Karmaloop reps and that means savings for all you readers out there! The first time you purchase you get 20% off if you use our Rep Code and every time after that you can save 10%! What a deal right! OUR REP CODE IS: HITONA
So, right now they’re having a great SALE (Click There) to save LOTS of money! Everything in the slideshow below is on sale!!!
OUR REP CODE IS: HITONA
So, I got a gift certificate from Avenue and had to use it before the 30th. Got online yesterday only to find out that I had to use it in the store. I’ve gotten a bunch of coupons from them and always forget that they have deadlines and I miss out, so I was determined to get me $20 worth.
I grabbed the oh-so-hungover DancinAssassin, El Hitoncito and we went to chubby girl store.
It was great. 1) HUGE SALE! (hurry run fast to Avenue it’s a crazy sale) Half the store is on clearance for less then $20 2) I grabbed a skirt that was $5 instead of $10 and 3) Clearance item’s are WAY cheaper in the store.
So I got these:
They no longer have that one online so if you click on the picture it takes you to a patterned version of the dress. There were still some more at the store on Menaul if you want to go in.
and I got this skirt
I’m wearing it today. Super comfy and looks great for work. I’m loving the slide slit too.
You know the drill, play the video then scroll down.
This past weekend was the infamous Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC. Where they have more Boricua’s then the isla does.
I couldn’t find a lot of great pictures like years before but here’s a few.
Puerto Ricans are some proud ass people! Que viva Puerto Rico!
Ok. This weekend was busy, busy, busy. Hi Tona’s goddess of a stylist, Scarlett Red (who owns Rockit Hair Studio), flew out to Vegas for the International Beauty Festival.
Yes, IBS, we all got the gross reference. Orbit Salon had a beauty even and fundraiser. It was Albuquerque Comic Expo and KarateExplosion’s birthday. So, here is our photo dump from the weekend
I got these wedges at Target for $8.00. They’re super comfy but a little unstable. (I rolled my ankle)
Little brother @DanicinMHJ, rocking the Teal, corduroy shorts.
The Ladies of Rockit Hair Studio and models from the IBS.
This is Liz, she was one of the models at Orbit Hair Salon on Saturday. Shannon Vigil, the owner, styled Liz’s hair.
This is Cory and his awesome pants.
And this is Keila and her awesome hair. Cory styled Keila’s hair for the event on Saturday.
Make up artist Lauren Atkinson.
This is Constance, she was Laura’s make up model. I love her blush!
This is Shannon Vigil, the owner of Orbit Salon. She also styled Liz’s hair.
The new shirt I picked up with the wedges. Another $8 buy!
So excited! We also got to see Stan Lee!
People really commit at these things. I can only imagine it’s hot as hell under that costume and this heat.
And this was what we came home to at the end of Saturday.
It was also KarateExplosion’s 3rd Birthday!!
Another Refinery29 post on summer bags. (sorry I’ve been off for a few days)
So some of them were mad expensive but I found two reasonably priced ones.
This one from Forever21
and this one
from Miss Selfridge (they’re having a dress sale too!)
Click on the pictures to see the whole article.
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere…right?
In this economy we all can’t run around buying all the awesome new things that in style this summer
or we’d never pay rent because that’s just not responsible.
Here’s an article from my favorite fashion site Refinery29 on a few key pieces that can change up your game without forcing you to eat ramen noodles for 3 months.
My favorites are the Maxi Dress:
I am the queen of the maxi, skirt, dress, I don’t care as long as it hits my toes and makes me feel like a princess. I pair them up with a blazer and heels and it’s totally work appropriate. I have yet to wear a maxi to court, but I’m getting there.
I’m fairly certain pointy pumps
go out of style. I love them. Black is classic but with all the attention nude heels are getting I think it’s a great buy for summer. These BCBG’s are great but check these out at Target, only $30 and patent leather!
Another recommendation is a new pair of sunglasses. I bought these two this weekend at Avenue for $12 (for both of them!)
I’m kind of in love with sunglasses these days considering; 1. I live in New Mexico and the sun shines
all the f-ing time about 360 days a year, and 2. Since my hair is crazy long right now they double as a stylish headband. Genius.
Here’s a pic of my famous “Lady Gaga” glasses I got for Mother’s Day this year from Birdland on Central.
Send us some pics of your favorite lentes or your favorite places in and around Burque to pick up sunglasses.
